Starting Fresh

We have been in Thailand for nearly a month now. Our time here so far has been filled with excitement, fun, adventure, encouragement, and thrill over the novelty of our new home. We have spent the last couple of weeks seeing some of the sights around Thailand, getting our bearings in the city, and attending field forum. It has been fun and even refreshing time (I know we just got here but it has been a blessing to have a time of rest and encouragement before being thrown into language study).

As I mentioned field forum was a wonderful time of learning, connecting and relaxing. We had the privilege of hearing from Gary Friesen about Biblical peacemaking in seminars and from receiving our nightly devotional time from Boyd Hannold, the head pastor of Princeton Alliance Church. Keith and I were also so blessed to meet many of the missionaries serving in various places around Thailand and even in some neighboring countries. It was so neat to hear of all that God is doing in this area and so inspiring to us.

Last week we started language study and we know that this season of our ministry will be filled with many new emotions and challenges. We are mostly learning tones and the various different and unique sounds of the Thai language. We are starting to jump into some basic conversion and vocabulary. Please continue to pray that God would help us as we seek to learn Thai well. We would also appreciate your prayers as we look for opportunities be the light of the gospel in our new community.

We have really felt uplifted during these last couple weeks. We have seen God's hand working as we have been so diligently praying that we would find a nanny for Lauren who would be a good fit for our family. We have been blessed with a wonderful woman who Lauren likes (which is a huge plus) and who has been a great fit. Thank you for praying with us for our son and his care taker. God is good.

Thank you again so much for all of your continued support of our ministry. We are so grateful to you all. Please let us know if there are any ways that we can specifically be praying for you, your families, and/or your ministries. We would love to keep connected.

May God bless you and keep you.
