Last weekend we had the opportunity to
go to church camp with a local Thai church we have been attending. It was really incredible to be a part of this opportunity and to have this time of learning and bonding together as
a unit.

There were about 100 people from all
generations and social classes coming together as the body of Christ
to join in the camp: to play games together, to learn together, to
worship together, to have meals together, and just to do life
together.
Lauren had a great time at camp; he really thrives in playing with other kids.
The only difficult aspect of camp for
us was that it was entirely in Thai. It was a great learning
experience to do life completely in Thai for a couple of days, but we definitely
had our moments of not understanding what was going on. Like trying
to figure out what the rules of the game are before it gets to our
turn.
We think that Lauren is more
comfortable with his Thai language abilities than his English. He is definitely gaining on us and is already passing us up in some aspects of his Thai competency.
All in all it was a great time of
fellowship, stretching our Thai, and at the end of the day
we left praising God for what He is doing in Thailand and what His
is doing in us and our language learning.
